Sažetak
The paper examines the actors and vehicles of self-representing Kingdom of Serb, Croats and Slovenes/Kingdom of Yugoslavia at the international exhibitions and world fairs during the interwar period as a symptom of political and cultural reforms and trajectories. The starting point is the key role of mediating practices in constructing the narratives of newly founded multi-ethnic entity as a modern, democratic state at global scene. Instead of the traditional approach to cultural history, which focuses on the nation-states and empires, the paper seeks to point common themes and practices of exhibitionary cultures during the interwar period.
