Sažetak
Cultural heritage buildings are not simply ancient structures that have prevailed over time. Beyond this, they are symbols of the history of our cities and explain the development of our culture and society over the years., Located in the Old city of Dubrovnik, which belongs to the UNESCO World heritage list, the Episcopal Seminary Building and Classical Gymnasium (Jesuit College) is a part of this cultural heritage that needs to be preserved over time and therefor, is the object of this study. The initial construction of the unreinforced masonry building dates back to 1662 and was developed in different stages until 1765 including additions and retrofitting. During this period, the building suffered damage caused by the 1667 Dubrovnik earthquake. The present project aims to evaluate the seismic performance of the cultural heritage building through the application of current guidelines from Eurocode and Croatian National Annex. For this purpose, the finite element modelling and analyses software is used. Tis allows detailed analysis of the building while considering the structural complexity added by the irregularity of construction and architectural design.
