Sažetak
Abstract Cooperation between producers, suppliers and customers with the aim of improving environmental sustainability, i.e. reducing emissions, waste, solid waste and consumption of toxic materials, represents the basic idea of sustainable development in the supply chain. Following the above, the paper investigates the perception of consumers regarding the importance and role of sustainable development in the supply chain in the Republic of Croatia. The results of the research indicate that every age group of Croatian society is approximately equally familiar with the concept and principles of green supply chain management and there is no statistically significant difference between younger and older age groups. After conducting necessary statistical tests, it has been concluded that consumers who have completed higher levels of education are better acquainted with the concept of GSCM and on general more environmentally conscious.
