Sažetak
Today, the best possible way of ensuring customer loyalty is product quality. It is also a measure of competitiveness on the world market, the best defence against competition and the only proper path towards the growth of production and profit. With all this in mind, it is necessary to focus on quality costs incurred in the course of implementing and monitoring quality, as well as on those resulting from poor quality. The costs of quality as a consequence of an increasingly demanding market show a constant rising trend and thus represent a significant item in the structure of total company costs. Companies that are still not using quality costs to indicate those areas where potentially highest savings are possible do not have very much time left, because quality costs and their detection are of utmost importance for the management with their decisions related to production, business and marketing.
