Sažetak
This MA thesis deals with the classification and descriptive analysis of PUs extracted from the Dynasty series. A total number of 212 PUs was gathered from the series and placed into categories proposed by Sabine Fiedler in her English Phraseology: A Coursebook. The first part of this paper focuses on a brief presentation of terminology and theoretical framework related to phraseology and phraseological units, as well as on their basic characteristics. Although different scholars were mentioned in this part, the focus was placed on the theoretical work of Sabine Fiedler. Furthermore, the second part of this paper focuses on the research, i.e. the classification and descriptive analysis of the corpus. Taking into consideration that the research was based on 64 episodes of the series, it was to be expected that the number of PUs would be significant. In the final part, this paper provides a brief discussion and analysis of the obtained results.
