Sažetak
The lecture will define nearly zero energy buildings (NZEBs) and show the future development of NZEB towards the plus energy buildings. The Building envelope will be shown as the basis of NZEB, with its role and requirements. Optimization of thermal insulation thickness will be discussed as a key to achieving a cost-optimal NZEB. Additionally, different issues like thermal bridges, airtightness hindering the effectiveness of the thermal envelope will be discussed. The importance of balancing heat losses and heat gains through windows and the essential part of the building envelope will also be stressed. Monitoring of the building comfort related parameters will also be shown. Digitalization as one of the most important trends and a part of the future development of construction industry will be enhanced. Here the possibilities of using building information modelling (BIM) for energy efficiency related issues will be shown as well as the use of virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) reality in construction process itself.
