Sažetak
Climate change and extreme weather events have significant impacts on crop production and agricultural pests. As climate change exacerbates the pest problem, there is a great need for future pest management strategies. These include monitoring climate and pest populations, modified integrated pest management, and the use of predictive models. A proactive and scientific approach is needed to address this problem. In addition to pervasive climate change, legislation also has a major impact on agricultural production. EU member states that have signed the European Green Deal Strategy have committed to comply with the measures it contains. The "From Field to Fork" measure calls for a 50% reduction in pesticide use by 2030, and new environmental tools are undoubtedly the future of agriculture. Therefore, it is important to be a leader in the development of new, modern, green pesticides and food production. The introduction of green technologies for the protection and preservation of agricultural products would improve their production in accordance with EU legislation and increase their value on the market.
