Sažetak
In many clinical cases the intended implant site is inappropriate due to the poor bone quality or to an insufficient quantity of bone. Recent dental researches and clinical studies have focused on the use of bioactive molecules to induce local bone formation. Bone is a dynamic tissue subject to balanced processes of bony formation and reabsorption. The various growth factors that have an effect on the bone regeneration have been discovered and used in augmentative and regenerative procedures in dental implant treatments. Autologous growth factors in combination with bovine-derived hydroxyapatite xenograft is used to enhance bony regeneration and promote tissue healing in different augmentative procedures. One of the latest innovative materials in the field of bone regeneration presented is CerabonePlus, natural bovine bone substitute with hyaluronate.
