Sažetak
This study presents the newly established laboratory at the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split called TEMPO Lab - Laboratory for Testing of Engineering Materials and Products. At present, TEMPO Lab consists mainly of a machine facility for validating the mechanical properties of radial and thrust plain bearings for ship shafts. The central component is the instrumented test rig. Measurable quantities, i.e. pressures, displacements, temperatures, power, speed, flow, particles class comprise the necessary information to validate lubricant and other properties of the test bearing.
