Sažetak
Media and digital literacy in schools is largely based on teaching about Internet platforms that use algorithms to personalize our experience (etc. using Google and social media). The algorithms behind them are systems that are obscure to most of the adults and thus hard to demonstrate to young people. Personalization and optimization is taught in theory and hard to understand, but the effects of personalized feed are felt in the way it shapes our worldview and everyday choices, so there has to be a better approach. Creation of a personalized story reflects the situation of machine learning algorithms used on social media. Optimization of a story can be made using simple algorithms taught in Informatics classes. The algorithm uses to personalize the story and builds different ending that doesn’t question the reader’s worldview nor provides a cautionary tale.
