Sažetak
The article researches the intensity of changes in enterprises' structure, with emphases on small and medium, as well as their importance for the economic development of the Republic of Croatia. The gradual transition in the Republic of Croatia from the nonmarket oriented socialist economy to the market-oriented one, has opened quite a few possibilities for the development of small and medium enterprises. Their advantage lies in greater market, and technical-technological flexibility and adaptability.
