Sažetak
The research is focused on durability of functional properties and appearance of two flame retardant (FR) fabrics from inherent fibres ; the first from modacryl and the second from blend of modacryl, FR viscose, polyacryl, para-aramid and inox. Resistance to washing in laboratory conditions was analysed through the conceptual approach based on the standard procedure modified through selection of washing machine, detergent, number of cycles and water quality. Analysis of FR properties, residual substances, appearance and spectral characteristics were evaluated by Limited Oxygen Index (LOI), pH and conductivity of the aqueous extract, micrographs as well as spectral parameters of fabrics before and after 25 washing cycles. The results showed that LOI of both fabrics was retained during 25 washing cycles while appearance, spectral parameters and pH values were changed.
