Sažetak
During the proces of transition in Central and Eastern Europe many capital markets emerged. The purpose of the research is to find out whether the European emerging markets stocks are challenging enough for the investors from developed markets to be included in an international portfolio. The basic reasons for international investments are the diversification of risks and greater opportunities for returns. Using the Markowitz portfolio optimizer to the problem of the international diversification, it is shown that the European emerging markets represent challenges for international investors in some developed markets because of different reasons
