Sažetak
The paper presents a modern approach – state space - to the modeling, analyzing and designing of switch mode power converters. Contrary to the conventional, frequency domain approach, the state space supports time domain representation which is, among many other advantages, especially suitable for computer implementation. After introduction to the state space basics, an average model of boost converter with parasitic elements considered is derived and the design flow for state controller is given. The latter was substantiated in the simulation environment using Matlab/Simulink tool. As the state space approach is computer convenient and hence suitable for intelligent controller implementation, an experimental comparison between conventional PID and fuzzy-type controller is given.
