Sažetak
Views and attitudes balancing that exists between ecology and economics, regarding sustainability of economic growth and development, is becoming more and more weaker. While certain scientists have been proving that growth increase will automatically alleviate or eliminate current envitonmental problems, the others point out a need of being cautious when we talk about future development and growth. They point to the fact that pure knowledge is not able to replace fully some key natural resources that have their limits and are vanishing or disappearing rapidly. thinking of the future of sustainable development, as the only actually known model of social development, indicates thet there is a need for developing of environmental knowledge and for taking comprehensive efforts on behalf of the society, for implementation of sustaiable development in practical everyday living.
