Sažetak
Running a nonprofit organization is not the same as running a for-profit organization. Aside from the difference in mission, most nonprofit organizations depend on various sources of funding (grants, subsidies, funds, etc.), volunteers, and the board of directors, which in some cases overrules the decisions of the organization's leader. But, regardless of these differences, the success of both organizations depends on the leaders and their ability to use limited resources in a way that gets people to work together to achieve the organization's goals. As in the for- profit sector, leaders in the nonprofit sector must possess certain skills and attributes that will help them overcome the many challenges they face. This study examines the entrepreneurial characteristics of leaders in nonprofit organizations. Using the General Enterprising Tendency Test, the research points to entrepreneurial traits that leaders of Croatian nonprofit organizations most identify with. This research can help universities develop programs that foster an entrepreneurial mindset and build an entrepreneurial culture in the nonprofit sector
