Sažetak
Entrepreneurship is often too narrowly understood and identified as starting and running one's own business. The European Union defines entrepreneurship as one of the eight basic life skills that every person needs to cope with and succeed in life. Entrepreneurship is thus as important as the ability to communicate in one’s mother tongue and in a foreign language, as basic math and digital skills, as the ability to learn, and as the social and civic skills and cultural expression. Entrepreneurship, as EntreComp, an European framework for introducing, developing and recognizing entrepreneurial competences suggests, is the ability to turn an idea into an activity, not just for serving one’s own interest but to create value for others as well. This includes creativity, initiative, taking responsibility, risk-taking, planning and managing projects. Regardless of profession or industry, roles in organizations, or gender. Being entrepreneurial means having a mindset that helps you overcome challenges, be decisive, and take responsibility for your results. It means constantly improving your skills, learning from mistakes, and continuously putting ideas into action. Entrepreneurship is a proactive, innovative and responsible behaviour that applies to and is needed by everyone: youth, business owners, teachers, professors, scientists, civil servants, employees in large and small organizations, in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, priests and retirees
