Sažetak
With globalization and the development of various information systems, spatial information has gained in importance. Based on this, the need for well-documented and unambiguously defined spatial information and their reliable distribution and use systems in agriculture and environment protection has increased. Spatial data management is motivated by the needs of a growing community of people who need to access information in a database management system, but who are not trained to use such systems. With the help of geographic information system (GIS) technology, it is possible to collect, create, maintain and analyse spatial data and perform various tasks from planning and design to implementation and redirection of operational tasks, and thus establish a quality platform for managing and making the right decisions. GIS enables the use of georeferenced spatial data, which gives the maintenance system in economic development an additional dimension and raises the quality of the system by connecting users, projects, addresses, financial, cadastral and geographical data with all other sources of information. Agricultural land is responsible for the greatest human impact on the natural environmental system such as the loss and degradation of ecosystems and biodiversity, increased greenhouse gas emissions or changes in global nitrogen and phosphorus cycles. Future population and food consumption growth and the growing role of bioenergy crops will increase global demand for agricultural products in the next decade.
