Sažetak
Digital technology has changed the way we make products and deliver services, and has a corresponding impact on the way businesses are organized. The economic impact of additive technology, as part of Industry 4.0, can be seen in the provision of dental services, when the production process is closer to the service providers - dental clinics - which certainly have a positive impact on the quality of dental services. In the Republic of Croatia, there are still a significant number of clinicians and dental technicians who still produce dental products using analog methods due to the high cost of digital equipment and the time required to train staff to use it. Thus, it is still the transitional phase between analog and digital access. The aim of this paper is to analyze how digital technology has affected the business and competitiveness of dental clinics in the Republic of Croatia and to link the impact of digital technologies with the development and prospects of dental tourism in the Republic of Croatia. In this context, industry representatives interested in development find new opportunities in the form of dental tourism, which increases the number of foreign patients and thus economic growth. However, dental tourism providers still lack support at the national level and the benefits of digital technology are not yet recognized at the level of primary dental care.
