Sažetak
The aim was to determine the links between children's motivation for physical activity, whether children like physical activity more if their parents do it, whether they are more motivated if they use music, apparatuses, play elementary games and what actually encourages it to engage in rhythmic gymnastics (Findak, 2001).The research was conducted on a sample of 59 preschool rhythmic gymnasts. IBM SPSS Statistics 26 for Windows is used for statistical analysis. The relationship between answers to different questions was tested with χ2 test. The majority of respondents prefer training with music and as many as 94.92% favor the implementation of elementary games during training. According to the obtained results, they are motivated by family and friends, coaches, society and the largest number all together. For the majority of respondents, rhythmic gymnastics was a personal choice or family proposal. Regarding the realization of training with apparatus, 91.53% prefer such training more and 88.14% repeat the elements at home. There is a relationship between exercise equipment and music- induced motivation. Children that are more motivated with exercise equipment are also more motivated with music during a training session (Karageorghis, 2011.). However, there is no relationship between answers about time spent in physical activity and answers about parent’s physical activity. For a preschool child, the most important thing is fun and socializing with other children. The results suggest that regardless of parental physical activity, children are included in physical exercise programs. Their motivation grows when music, apparatuses and elementary games are included in the training program.
