Sažetak
The optimization of machining conditions depends on the availability of a reliable mathematical model for tool life data. A polynomial of the higher order with significant interactions included was found to be satisfactory for advanced machining systems. In order to identify recommended tool life model, the Random Strategy Method (RSM) together with the application of Stepwise Regression Analysis are proposed. Furthermore, an example of establishing the tool life equation applicable to rough turning operation is presented.
