Sažetak
Measurement of electrical performance of multi-wire shielded structure twisted pair (STP) and unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables is more difficult than measurement of simple coaxial cable. Characteristic impedance of twisted - pair cable which is usually symmetrical, has values higher than 50 ohm, therefore impedance transformers were necessary. For accurate measurements using impedance matching transformers, deembeding technique is recommended. The transfer impedance of multi-wire shielded twisted pair (STP) cable was measured using IEC 96-1 triaxial method by a modified test-setup.
