Sažetak
As one of the mo0st important industries in the world, the textile industry is attracting a lot of interest from researchers because of its negative side, which is its wastewater and drinking water consumption for wet processes. Membrane processes have proven successful in real textile wastewater (TWW) treatment and reuse of the same water in the production process. Therefore, in our study we examined ultrafiltration (UF) treatment of TWW secondary effluent, i.e., TWW pretreated with membrane bioreactor. UF permeate was used to dyeing cotton knitted fabric. We tested the effectiveness by measuring the zeta potential on knitted fabric colored with UF permeate compared to the colorless and colored knitted fabric with drinking water. Results showed that the largest decrease in the value of zeta potential occurred in a sample of knitted fabric dyed with UF permeate. This confirms that the largest amount of adsorbed dye is on that knitted fabric sample.
