Sažetak
Higher education institutions (HEI) worldwide have been moving to the use of new online learning practices. Taking into account the national lockdowns amid coronavirus outbreak, the issue of digitalization has become acute, and, more importantly, it has repeatedly accelerated the process of reformatting the mindset of HEI’s faculty and management. Therefore, the aim of this paper was to analyze the development of global digital educational market and to compare the usage of digital educational services (DES) in the Russian Federation and the European Union. Based on a critical review of the scientific literature, a comparative analysis of DES market development and development strategies in Russia and the EU was performed. Finally, a description of future business models of DES (commencing in Russia) for protentional usage in the EU is proposed.
