Sažetak
The role of state-controlled Montenegrin media in the siege of Dubrovnik has been covered in academic literature, as well as newspaper articles and documentaries. However, another side, the one that opposed the war and vehemently fought against it, did not receive adequate attention in the research. This paper attempts to fill that gap by presenting and analyzing the circumstances, outcome, and consequences of the stance of Montenegrin independent media, political parties, and the civil sector against the attack on Dubrovnik. The analysis is done through Montenegrin newspapers and weeklies from the relevant period, speeches, and official reports.
