Sažetak
The number of data sources available today is growing each day, making it impossible for the human to have all up-to-date information, thus the application of intelligent agent technologies gains momentum. The possibilities of application of agent technologies and providing the agent execution infrastructure on a county level network are discussed, leading to a new computing paradigm-remote programing. The approaches to integrating existing information servers into distributed environments, like CORBA, are discussed. The interaction between agents and CORBA is enabled through the use of software components called facilitators. Context-independent communication between facilitators and agents, and agents themselves are enabled using knowledge representation languages, such as KIF and KQML.
