Sažetak
A case study of twentieth-century Russian émigré scholars in Yugoslavia provides a stimulating option that shifts our focus from individual biographies to a larger group of scholars, thus freeing the research from a predominantly biographical narrative structure. The study of Russian émigré scholars in this way enables us to overcome biographical research by emphasising networks and the fragile political and socio-economic conditions of their work abroad.
