Sažetak
Guanidines are strong nucleophiles and adds to the unsaturated bonds of carbodiimides and highly activated alkynes like DMAD. An example of reversible addition of the guanidine to acrylate derivatives was also described. Nevertheless, a number of the guanidine catalyzed addition reactions including cycloadditions to the activated olefines have been described giving desired products without contamination with aza-Michael type of products. , In our attempts to optimize synthesis of the guanidine-substituted oxanorbornenes as the potential organocatalysts, we decided to investigate these two potentially competitive reactions more closely and to define controlling conditions for each of them. Selected furfurylguanidines and their salts were tested in reaction with selected activated olefines. The results are interpreted in terms of the guanidine basicity their structural features like steric congestion and dominant tautomeric form and nucleophilicity of anion.
