Sažetak
Biogas plants are not adequately represented in the energy transition plans of the new EU members, as well as the candidate countries for EU membership. Interest lobbies for wind and solar power plants through (in) transparent processes strongly influence decision-makers in investment policy in the energy sector and, in essence, harm local communities and the national economy. This paper points out the benefits for the local community from the construction of biogas power plants - which are of no use in capacity building for other renewable energy sources.
