Sažetak
Satirical epigrams of the Croatian Latinist Raimundus Cunichius treating eternal topics have been chosen to illustrate the connection between "Roman" and modern times. I choose Raimundus Cunichius among all other Croatian Latinists because of his universal humanistic education and deep knowledge of Greek and Latin. He was an expert in classical prosody. His epigrams have a very high position in Latin Parnas of the 18th century presenting the Roman social life of the late Settecento. The influence of Horace's and Martial's epigrammatic poetry is obvious.
