The Mediterranean, an interface between Africa and Europe, is one of the oldest cradles of civilization with an uninterrupted cultural life. This lecture will follow “Arab” traces, primarily in some of the West Slavic peoples. The special attention will be given to the city democratic free city-state of Dubrovnik.
