Sažetak
We present few arguments in favour of the existence and importance of heavy Majorana neutrinos in particle physics and cosmology. Noncontractible space as an alternative symmetry-breaking mechanism without Higgs scalars, together with the removal of the SU(2) global anomaly lead to the electroweak theory with three light and heavy Majorana neutrinos. Heavy Majorana neutrinos are good particle candidates for a cold dark matter, they can explain cosmic diffuse photon flux, they are crucial for the existence of the highest-energy cosmic ray events etc.
