Sažetak
Zagreb interiors at the end of the 19th and in the first decades of 20th century were real showrooms of carpets and kilims. Consistently historicist approach in the furnishing and century-old contacts with Oriental culture determined the way of using carpets and kilims which cover floors, walls, windows, tables, chairs and chaise longues. That approach is even more interesting between two world wars, when clashes with strong society urge for inclusion into the contemporary trends of modern minimalism.
