Sažetak
This paper presents six different mobile applications designed and developed as the result of the DigEdu-2021 project. The project’s main objectives were digitization and digitalization of formal curriculum-based teaching materials and the development of innovative mobile applications targeting elementary education students. This was accomplished through close cooperation with teachers from the Osnovna škola Trnjanska (Engl. Trnjanska primary school) in Zagreb and graduate students from the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences who were the project members. Correspondingly, the secondary goal of the project was the development of elementary education students’ digital competencies and on the other hand training and profiling of students at the graduate level in the field of technology-enhanced learning and education. The developed applications support communication between teachers and students through digital channels, informal monitoring of student’s work and progress during the school year, and digitization of teaching content and activities. In more detail, they uplift the learning of roman numerals, learning different means of transport, learning body parts, learning letters of the Croatian alphabet, and monitoring compulsory and recreational book reading. Different mobile development technologies were used to develop the applications: cross-platform, hybrid, and native approach.
