Sažetak
According to the literature and preliminary results, imatinib (IMT), an anticancer drug showed low potential to degrade during hydrolytic and photolytic processes, so the aim of this research was to evaluate its photocatalytic activity by using TiO2 immobilized on a glass mesh in aqueous solution. The application of immobilized photocatalyst made it possible to avoid TiO2 separation and filtration with easy recovery for constant reuse. In order to obtain optimal conditions for the best removal of IMT in synthetic water, the simultaneous effect of pH (environmentally relevant) and initial concentration of pollutant was investigated.
