Sažetak
Annual variability in the composition and abundance of non-crustacean invertebrate macrozooplankton in relation to abiotic and biotic factors was investigated by taking weekly samples at a standard reference station near Dubroivnik during 1996. Sixty-four species were identified: 16 hydromedusae, 15 siphonophores, 3 ctenophores, 2 heteropods, 12 pteropods, 8 polychaetes, and 8 chaetognaths. Temperature had an impact on the annual distribution of most sampled groups. The concentration of NH4 varied with non-crustacean invertebrate macrozooplankton abundance, as well as with phytoplankton abundance and biomass (Chl a).
