Sažetak
Companies of special interest to the Republic of Croatia are companies named as such by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia which defines 39 legal entities, whereby the special state interest is justified by the fact that these companies are from areas that are strategically important for the country and its further development. The survey will be conducted on a sample of 33 companies that keep their business books in accordance with the rules of double-entry bookkeeping for legal entities for 2018 and 2019. Using financial analysis techniques, conclusions will be made about which activities of the company are more profitable than others, while the use Pearson's correlation coefficient will examine the difference in profitability of companies depending on the share of the Republic of Croatia in companies of special state interest.
