Sažetak
The KHg excimer in the 2 2Π state was produced in the photochemical reaction between K2(C1Πu) and Hg(61S0). The transition was observed at about 640 nm. We performed quantum mechanical spectral simulations for the transition, using potential energy curves calculated by Czuchaj et al. [Chem. Phys. Lett. 199 (1992) 47]. Absorption of the KHg chemiluminescence by the overlapping K2 XB transition was studied in detail. Other KHg transitions observed to date in different experiments are discussed.
