Sažetak
We performed an IOS calculation of the differential cross section for the atom-diatom collisions assuming various model surfaces with the aim to study the effects of the anisotropy of the surface, in particular as to the appearance of rainbows. A model surface is characterized by the dependencies of the minimum energy and the corresponding internuclear distance upon an internal angle coordinate of the system. Results show that the double rainbow will appear, sufficiently resolved, if the well depth is almost constant in a certain range of internal angles of the complex. This gives a hint to think about the observed structures as being a result of the stationary behaviour of a given surface versus both relevant coordinates, the internuclear distance and the internal angle. A number of cases were calculated for the different surface shapes in order to find criteria for the parameters characterizing the anisotropy of the surface, for which the double rainbows appear.
