Sažetak
The paper analyses linguistic, primarily onomastic evidences of still existent or withered handicrafts within the framework of the former social structure. Many onetime crafts became extinct in the course of time but traces of their former diffusion and importance can be reconstructed from their onomastic, primarily, but not exclusively anthroponomastic reflections. All across Europe, and the similar can be said about most of the countries, many surnames are motivated by occupation.
