Sažetak
We report the first direct observation of a broad shoulder within the A–X band system of molecular lithium, which we interpret as a triplet satellite band in very far blue wing of the self-broadened first resonance line of lithium. Increased densities and temperatures favor the observation of this shoulder. We present an explanation in terms of ab initio calculations of the relevant interaction curves.
