Sažetak
The paper presents a comparison of results for automatically controlled thermal system obtained by theoretical mathematical model and measured data obtained by an experimental approach. In addition to the description of the observed system with introduced assumptions as well as constraints, a mathematical model was developed and implemented with the software tool MATLAB Simulink in which system simulation was performed. An automatic control system was implemented into a single-family house by installing sensors, actuators and PID regulators with monitoring control system performed in the software tool SIEMENS TIA Portal via intelligent interface programmed in the WinCC module. The experimental approach was used to observe the heating and domestic hot water system in a single-family house (with three flats) and data on outdoor and individual room temperature are measured. The initial room temperature is 18 °C and the desired temperature is 21 °C in tuned system parameters. The outdoor temperature is simulated by a sinusoidal function (relay controller). The examination was designed to demonstrate that usage of an automatic control system reduces the energy consumption for heating as well as domestic hot water for entire building. Such an approach reduces the energy costs for the building and increases energy efficiency. It also proves that the application of intelligent automatic control systems in a home offers many possibilities that make everyday life in the house easier.
