Sažetak
Chronic wounds are a growing socioeconomic problem in developed countries, they occur in 1-2% of the population with 2-4% of the healthcare budget expended to treat such illnesses. With regard to the etiological cymbetics, a chronic wound requires a multidisciplinary approach. The community nurse is an important member of the multidisciplinary team providing care to patients with chronic wounds, and is sometimes the only link between patients and family medicine doctors. Today’s wound dressings have developed to such an extent that they meet all specific requirements for optimal conditions at all stages of healing. A large number of generic and completely different compresses and linings have evolved through the development of technology and by obtaining results from numerous clinical studies. TARGET Display a practical case in patronage health protection of the Community health center of PGŽ. The importance of continuous education of community nurses, the importance of communication between family medicine doctors, community nurses and patients. WORKING METHODS To view the case by examining the medical records of the patients and by continued monitoring of chronic wounds through regular house visits from the community nurse and by gathering photographic documentation of chronic wounds. RESULTS Healing chronic wounds can be achieved by the proper operation, evaluation, the knowledge of the mechanism and importance of proper selection of modern day dressings. CONCLUSION It is of great importance for the community nurse to make a timely assessment of the wound as well as to ensure the family’s readiness by educating and implementing the solutions suggested by the doctor. With this approach and in favor of the patient, time and money would be saved. The community nurse is an important link in a multidiscipline team when solving such situations and therefore the importance of such a role should not be underestimated.
