Sažetak
The properties of hydrated cement composites were tested in a water-cement ratio of 0.5 without the addition and with the addition of waste container glass. Three materials were prepared: pure Portland cement (CEM I 42.5 R) and two cement composites with the addition of 30% by weight of glass particles. One composite contains particles up to 45 µm in size and the other contains particles from 125 to 250 µm in size. Thermogravimetric analysis of samples was performed after 7 and after 90 days of hydration. In cement with glass particles, a pozzolanic reaction occurs between portlandite and reactive SiO2 from glass, with the reaction being faster in a composite with finer particles. The pozzolanic reaction also occurs in the case of the addition of glass particles between 125 and 250 µm in size but to a lesser extent. The speed and onset of the pozzolanic reaction depends on the particle size of the glass. The addition of waste container glass reduces the degree of hydration of cement, which is more pronounced in larger fractions.
