Sažetak
The workshop introduced the participants to fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), a key methodology used in the international Horizon 2020 project “Critical Exploration of Media Related Risks and Opportunities for Deliberative Communication: Development Scenarios of the European Media Landscape – MEDIADELCOM”. In the first part, the participants were introduced to the concept, history, growing popularity, hybrid nature (which is manifested in combining of quantitative and qualitative analytical logic), and questions to which fsQCA can provide answers. In the second part, by using examples from the book “Comparing Post-Socialist Media Systems: The Case of Southeast Europe” by Peruško et al. (2021), the participants were shown the steps of conducting fsQCA analysis. Although mostly theoretical in nature, the workshop also included two simple exercises in which the participants participated.
