Twenty years ago, Hero Lotti (née Boothroyd Brooks) undertook the demanding task of researching IIC’s beginnings. The results of her research were published in the booklet 'A Short History of IIC: Foundation and Development'. To bring the fascinating story of the forming of IIC closer to its members and the readers of 'News in Conservation', Lotti was interviewed for this special issue.
