Sažetak
The purpose of the study was to investigate factors which influence small and medium enterprises' (SME) internationalization process and to examine how those factors influence internationalization of SMEs from IT sector in Croatia. For the purpose of the analysis an empirical research was conducted. A total of 83 IT SMEs participated in the research. In the survey, the respondents were offered different statements about the factors which influenced their internationalization process. The factors were divided into five categories: export assistance programs, innovation, strategic focus, networks and internationalization knowledge. According to the results, strategic focus, networks and innovation have a positive impact on the internationalization process. On the other hand, the research results did not confirm that internationalization knowledge or export assistance programs have a positive impact on internationalization.
