Sažetak
In this paper medical atlases from late 18th to late 20th century were investigated with the aim to identify cutaneous infections and infestations. Change in ethiology of skin infections from strongly pathogenic staphylo-or streptogenous dermatoses and fungal diseases to less pathogenic diseases of our time was noted. Illustrations were descovered as a superb source to present the drama of different clinical cases in the preantibiotic era.
