Sažetak
The ecological crisis, as a degradation of the created world and the harmony of man with nature, is a consequence of the moral crisis of postmodern man, caused by the complete distortion of man's vocation to live and act in created reality. This paper problematizes the moral deviation of man through the prism of the technocratic paradigm spoken of by Pope Francis in the encyclical Laudato si. The technocratic paradigm represents a degrading gap between technological growth and economic progress that is not accompanied by human development in responsibility, awareness, and values. The paper presents the mentioned issues through two thematic units, the first of which observes the causes of the moral crisis arising from erroneous anthropological assumptions. The one-dimensional technocratic paradigm represents the trap into which the postmodern man of prosperity has fallen, and by degrading his God- given human dignity to mere materialism, he reveals a profound anthropological error. Thus, in erroneous anthropology, man does not understand his role in God's plan, he has a distorted attitude towards himself, others and the world around him, which is the cause of the ecological crisis, which is discussed in the second thematic unit. At the top of the hierarchy of values, man has placed his own truncated needs and interests, according to which all other people and realities are evaluated. Society ceases to be a community of responsible individuals, aware of their own mission and caring for the world they live in. It is being reduced to collectivism composed of egoistic individuals, which is a consequence of practical relativism which does incalculable damage in the ecological crisis we are witnessing. Caring for a common home according to the idea of God the Creator whose image is man can begin only by returning to the sources of Christian anthropology which are the foundation of the relationship of responsible reciprocity of man and nature.
