Sažetak
The paper presents analysis of use of an absorption cooling unit powered by solar energy and operating in air conditioning system. The goals of analysis are energy saving i.e. use of alternative energy sources and use of environmentally friendly refrigerants without CFC-s and HCFC-s Analysis is carried out for the system of solar collectors located at the geographical longitude and altitude characteristic for Adriatic coast .Analyzed refrigerant is mixture LiBr-H2O which is compared to H2O-NH3 mixture.Typical daily heat gain and produced cooling capacity for Split and Zagreb region are presented.
